  • Ashley Baldwin, MA LPC Private Practice Owner

    As a warm and compassionate therapist, Ashley is committed to understanding your needs, life experiences, and strengths that have shaped you into the unique person you are today. She has expertise working with individuals of all ages in a variety of clinical settings, including: family-based mental health programs, therapeutic foster care, extended acute care psychiatric unit, and private practice.

    Ashley is trained in Structural Family Therapy, Grief Counseling and Trauma-Informed Care. She’ll help you build resilience and improve your quality of life, so that you can live with integrity & a greater sense of purpose.

    Ashley is solely responsible for running all aspects of the business & takes a lot of pride in making sure RC clients are well taken care of!

    In her free time, Ashley likes going camping with her husband, taking care of her pets, and gardening.

  • Kayleigh Kromka, MA LPC Licensed Professional Counselor & Registered Art Therapist

    Kayleigh is a Licensed Professional Therapist who specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and person-centered interventions to curate new perspectives and approaches to daily living. Kayleigh’s expertise involves working with children and adults who have diagnoses ranging from schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, OCD, anxiety, and depression.

    Kayleigh has expertise in providing exposure and response prevention therapy to treat OCD. She has a direct approach to therapy, so she’s successful in treating complex cases.

    In her free time, Kayleigh enjoys spending time with her dogs, cooking, and watching Bob’s Burgers.

  • Melissa Meyer BA, Master’s Level Intern

    Melissa is very excited to be joining Rooted Counseling as an intern this year. She is completing her Masters in Social Work from Marywood University and is eager to begin her career in clinical social work. Melissa has worked in the mental health field for the past 8 years with experience in varied settings such as extended acute care psychiatric units and community based mental health programs. She currently works with dually diagnosed individuals dealing with both mental illness and intellectual disability.

    Melissa utilizes a generalist-eclectic approach with particular emphasis in person centered therapy. She leads from a strengths-based perspective with the belief that we all have the innate power to make positive changes in our lives.  Melissa enjoys working with diverse clients and issues and has particular experience in crisis response/stabilization and working with individuals to reduce their negative behaviors. She enjoys helping clients struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges. She utilizes techniques which include motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.

    In her free time, Melissa loves spending time with her cats, watching movies and television, traveling, and trying new restaurants. Melissa is offering discounted rates ($40-$60 per session), so please contact us if you’re in need of affordable rates due to financial hardship or lack of insurance coverage.

  • Amy Keyser, MA LPC Licensed Professional Counselor, EMDR specialist in training

    Amy works passionately to create a therapeutic environment where you can gain awareness and understanding towards your goals & aspirations. Amy specializes in working with couples, family systems, children, and adolescents. Amy incorporates experiential exercises into her sessions to help clients uncover repressed feelings and emotions through self-expression and creative measures.

    Amy has expertise in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, bi-polar, and any life transitions including marital issues, divorce, and adjusting to college life. She is currently working on her EMDR certification from EMDRIA & can provide assistance to those who are experiencing symptoms related to trauma. She can easily build rapport with anyone regardless of their age, so please reach out if you’re looking to schedule an appointment.

    In her free time, Amy likes spending time with her pets, going outside, and watching movies.

  • Giavanna Heaton, MA LAMFT Licensed Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

  • Cora Fernandez, MA LPC Licensed Professional Counselor

    Cora is a licensed professional therapist who fosters a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment within sessions by using a trauma-informed approach. Cora specializes in working with ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. She typically sees both adults and adolescents as well as couples.

    She utilizes a blend of person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help clients create healthier thought patterns and better manage their symptoms.
